HOT WEATHER AND DROUGHT, ANY RELIEF?

Hot weather and exceptional drought continue but is their any relief ?As the high pressure system over southeast Texas continues to slowly move west and weaken their could bring some relief.First lets talk precipitation. On Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th their is a slight 20% chance of rain. Also their are possible showers on the 24th!Although slim anythings better than nothing. Now lets talk temperature. The intense heat has been going on since June! But as this high pressure system causing this intense heat and drought continues to slowly weaken and move west ,temperature relief will be expected in the next two weeks!Highs could be in the low to mid 90s and lows cold be from the low 70s to upper 60s! - Isaac

  8. chief, your blog gets more hits than mine!!!
i heard it rained in the DFW area and i wasn't there to witness it! it was so dry we were already starting to see cracks in the ground. so does this hot hot summer mean we will not have a cold winter??? i love cold winters, i hope we don't have a hot winter. we are in alberta canada right now and it is actually cold at night and during the day it is cool. i wish i could put this weather in my backpack, zip it up, and when i get to texas let it all escape into the hot texas sky. p.s. the weather here is in celsius so it is hard to translate it into farenheit. got any good formulas to do that??? keep up the good work :) love issy

  9. ISSY I DO HAVE A FORMULA TO TRANSLATE CELSIUS INTO FAHRENHEIT:

TO CONVERT TEMPERATURES IN DEGREES CELSIUS TO FAHRENHEIT, MULTIPLY BY 1.8 (OR 9/5) AND ADD 32.

EXAMPLE:(30 CELSIUS X 1.8) PLUS 32 = 86 FAHRENHEIT.ALSO A HOT SUMMER IS CAUSED BY LA NINA AND USUALLY BRINGS COLD WINTERS.WEATHER FOLKLORE STATES:"IF THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST IS UNUSUALLY WARN THE WINTER WILL BE WHITE AND LONG!'THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST WAS 6 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE!SO THEIR MAY BE A WHITE AND LONG WINTER!HAVE FUN IN CANADA!.
